Graduated in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona. Lucia Onzain has obtained, among others, the Sculpture Scholarship of the Spanish Academy in Rome and the Fulbright Scholarship for further artistic studies in the USA (New York University). Master’s degree in Art Education from the EHU-UPV. Gure Artea Sculpture Award, among others.

Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally in arts spaces such as the Antonio Barnola Gallery (Barcelona), Sala Rekalde Area 2 (Bilbao), Cold City Gallery in Toronto (Canada), Gallery Ursula Krizinger (Austria), Santa Monica Art Center in Barcelona, Fundació La Caixa in Palma de Mallorca, Sala Montcada in Barcelona, Casa de América in Madrid, and the National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires (Argentina), among others. She has participated in various editions of the ARCO art fair in Madrid, as well as in the Basel Art Fair (Switzerland).

Regarding her recent artistic practice, she is researching and working on the genre of the Vanitas or allegorical still life, a transversal genre with a large representation in the Baroque period.

Art for Lucia Onzain is not only a way of life but also a way of knowing, thinking and working. She considers artistic research to be a fundamental tool for developing different life and professional projects.

Strategic, social, cultural and environmental projects.

From an event to a strategic study, an ideas competition or the creation of a forest. Many diverse projects always developed as a team, in diverse teams.

The areas of work covered are: cultural policies, inclusion, the relationship between different cultures, identities and landscape and the implementation of awareness-raising strategies. Lucia has also carried out cultural activities in a natural environment, devised cultural spaces in an urban environment and has organised diverse events. Always seeking equity and shared knowledge. Imagining, researching, creating narratives, developing, producing, communicating.
